Parade of Homes Starts This Week
The 2013 Parade Charlotte will begin on April 12th and run every Friday through Sunday, through April 28th. Hours are Friday-Saturday 11am-6pm and Sunday 1pm-6pm. This year’s event will showcase new homes for sale, fully decorated model homes to tour, and communities available for building your dream home. Additionally, ‘On the Board’ homes are showcased. These homes are new designs just started and available to preview for more information.

Evans Coghill Brings Home Three Major Awards
Evans Coghill just added three more awards to its trophy cabinet. We were recognized at the Home Builders Association of Charlotte’s 2013 Major Achievement Awards (MAA) gala in March.
The MAA Awards are the HBA of Charlotte’s annual event recognizes excellence in marketing, home plan design for the past year.
Amongst Evans Coghill’s accolades was the Gold Award for Custom Home of the Year, Gold award for Best Use of Technology in marketing and a Silver Award for Best Use of Technology.
“We are very proud being recognized with a Gold Award for the Catawba Cottage home plan. We thought it was a great plan, but it is always nice to be recognized by your peers for excellence!”
The Catawba Cottage is a ranch home plan with some great features like double tray ceilings, spa shower, gallery entrance, lots of windows and an unparalleled sense of “being at home” all in a neat 2000 square feet.

New Landsford Home Plan Completed in Baxter Village
The now popular Landsford plan has been completed in Baxter Village. This particular home is sold and a nice family has moved in already but we wanted you to see some pictures.
The family loves the open home plan and private home office. The master bedroom on the main level is so convenient and the large front and rear porch are possibly the best “rooms” of the home at this time of year.
The front porch is a full 8ft deep. Most front porches today are too small to be useful. Not this one. There is room for rocking chairs, planters and your friends, too. It is like another room of your house.
This is the Victorian elevation for the Landsford. You can tell by the detail of the hip roof and tall and narrow windows among other details. Everyone loves all the windows in this home. The Landsford is, also, available with a craftsman and piedmont homestead elevation. All of these elevations have their roots in the architectural history of this area.
The kitchen, family room and dining room all flow well together. You will love the open feeling, natural light and the fact no one gets left out when they are in “another room”.
