Speaking Up for Home Building in Raleigh
Our own, Alan Banks, was in Raleigh recently. He was there to discuss home building issues with state lawmakers. Alan, president of the Home Builders Association of Charlotte, and several other builders from the area met with Rep Ruth Samuelson, Rep Thom Tillis, Sen Bob Ruccho, Rep Tricia Cotham, Rep Rodney Moore and Rep Rob Bryan.
One of the main issues before the NC General Assembly is a bill that limits control of architectural features on new homes by municipalities. We believe that individual neighborhoods or home owners should decide what they would like their home to look like not governmental officials. Fortunately, Speaker of the House Thom Tillis and Rep Ruth Samuelson from Charlotte agree with us and are working on this.

Real Estate Agents Help Builders in Rebound

Parade of Homes Starts This Week
The 2013 Parade Charlotte will begin on April 12th and run every Friday through Sunday, through April 28th. Hours are Friday-Saturday 11am-6pm and Sunday 1pm-6pm. This year’s event will showcase new homes for sale, fully decorated model homes to tour, and communities available for building your dream home. Additionally, ‘On the Board’ homes are showcased. These homes are new designs just started and available to preview for more information.
