Building a Partnership
It was in the fall of the early 1990s when two acquaintances, Chris Folk
and Alan Banks, worked side by side on a Habitat for Humanity home. At
that time, neither of the men knew they would become professional
homebuilders or especially business partners. What brought them
together during this particular week was a mutual belief that a home is
a foundation for a family to grow on.

The project was a success. Chris and Alan returned to their respective careers. Chris was a marketer of premium-grade windows to builders and working for a custom homebuilder. Alan owned a marketing company for real estate firms, homebuilders and developers – a business which he began in Charlotte, but successfully grew across three states.
